Reporting to the CEO, you will be instrumental in finding and closing new client business.

Main Duties

  • Help define, document and evolve the software architecture for the Emerge Platform.
  • Work with the cross functional development teams to ensure we maintain a unified technical architecture across the Emerge Platform.
  • Work with Infrastructure and Implementation teams to understand the how they use the Emerge platform and how it can be improved to support their requirements.
  • Maintain and document the emerge architecture including API’s and key third-party integrations.
  • Help teams optimize the platform with a focus on stability, security and performance.
  • Communicate effectively with various departments internally and occasionally with clients.
  • Evaluate new technologies that can be used to enhance the Emerge Platform.

Responsibilities

  • Identify new opportunities and evaluate their position in the industry, researching and analysing sales options, making appointments at C level.
  • Respond to tender inquiries and follow up on the leads generated by marketing activities.
  • Develop relationships and recommend solutions based on the Interact product set.
  • Build a pipeline of opportunities and work the pipeline through to shorten sales cycles.
  • Qualify opportunities and take a lead role through the sales process working in conjunction with team.
  • Be a strong negotiator and work with teams to complete contract agreement.
  • Maintain relationships with prospects and clients by providing support, information, and guidance.
  • Identify product improvements by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
  • Be effective in the use of the sales CRM system and in the collection, analysis and summary of information for reports and approvals.
  • Contribute to marketing initiatives through the contribution of ideas and initiatives.
  • Provide feedback to product and marketing teams in order to ensure market and competitor information is shared.
  • Share industry knowledge and experience with other members of the sales team.
  • Attend regular sales meetings, conferences and exhibitions.
  • Provide regular sales updates to the CFO/CEO.

Your Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Proven track record of selling (preferably complex financial services) software solutions whilst working in an SME
  • Experience and a sound understanding of how to drive a complex IT sales cycle and experience of working within a business implementing multi-month technically complex, financial software solutions
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent relationship building and management skills
  • Demonstrable ability to control the sales cycle
  • Collaborative working approach
  • New business sales driven as opposed to account management
  • Strong pipeline management skills
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of business and financial services
  • Self-starter and fast learner who favours target driven environments
  • Have undertaken professional sales training

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of financial products and services across asset finance, commercial banking, credit cards, current accounts, deposit savings, investments, loans,mortgages, motor finance, pensions, prepay accounts, and wealth management.
  • Strong interest in digital technology and awareness of key issues in the market such as security considerations underlying internet and mobile banking platforms
  • Understanding of working on complex platform integration requirements
  • Experience of selling a digital platform
  • Strong MS Office skills

Location

This is a UK remote-based role; however, you will be required to work with colleagues at our offices in Kingston upon Thames from time to time, and you will be expected to travel to meet
prospects, mostly within the UK but with the possibility of some international travel too.
